L2 grips have a classic or Legacy contour that is similar to a 1911 or STI/Stacatto backstrap.
E2 grips have a Euro style contour similar to a CZ or Tanfoglio.
E2 Grips are sold with our "pinned" beavertail to match the contour whereas L2 grips work with traditional 1911 grip safeties.
